Thane: a girl who was challenged by a 16-year-old mentality was allegedly raped by her father’s uncle at Bhiwandi, said the police on Monday.
The incident occurred in the Bhiwandi area here on Friday and was accused of 48 years old arrested on Sunday, an official said a police station Bhiwandi Taluka.
The girl told her violations of her parents who followed them filed a complaint at the Police Station Bhiwandi Taluka, the official said without divulging more details about the incident.
Victims were medically checked, police said.
The defendant was then arrested and a case was listed under it under the Indian Criminal Code 376 (rape) and the provisions of the protection of children from the acts of sexual violations (Pocso), the official said.
