Varanasi: Academic Institutions celebrate Master’s Day on Sunday to mark the alert of the birth of former president, undergraduate, philosophers and Bharat Ratna, Dr.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
At the University of Banaras Hindu (BHU), a Felicitation program was held at Swatantra Bhavan to honor teacher retirees.
The program was attended by the Indian Ambassador to Ireland Akhilesh Mishra, acting Chancellor Prof.
VK Shukla and others.
Dr.
Radhakrishnan, whose birthday was celebrated as Teacher’s Day, also served as Deputy Chancellor of Bhu.

Madan Mohan Malaiviya has invited Radhakrishnan to replace him as VC Bhu in 1939.
He serves Bhu as VC until January 1948.
IIT (BHU) also organizes a program to respect the teachers on the occasion.
A total of five institute teachers were awarded ‘Best Teacher Award-2021 in four different categories including the first year of UG, Category Class PG, Science & Humanities, and UG Engineering categories.
According to a spokesman for IIT (BHU), the first year of UG Abhishek Kumar Srivastava and Dr.
Rakesh Kumar Singh (together) and the UG Engineering category award was given to Prof.
Vikas Kumar Dubey, Coordinator, Biochemical Engineering School.
