BHU declares schedule for Internet Examinations in OBE Style

Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced the schedule of assessments from online Open Book Examination (OBE) style for its instructional session 2020-21.
BHU spokesperson Rajesh Singh on Wednesday said,” The UG/PG terminal/intermediate session exam will be held from July 10 to August 10, although the PhD class work, UG/PG Diploma and Certificate exams will be held from August 11 to 14.
In OBE manner, students may show up in the test liberally from their house or some other place free of limitation on consulting publications and other source materials for composing replies.” According to the notification issued with the combined registrar (examination ), the internet OBE system doesn’t call for the access to an internet platform for the whole period of the exam.
A PC/laptop/mobile telephone with online connectivity is needed initially in the start of the evaluation for downloading the question document in the portal site and then for archiving the handwritten responses sheets around the portal site.
The complete length of this exam is going to be 4.30 hours that contains time for downloading the query paper, writing the responses by uploading and hand the hand-written sheets into the portal site.
The workplace of the control of examination may also supply question papers in the email of their faculty/department/college on every day of the exam for every semester 15 minutes before the start of the exam.
If a pupil faces any problem in downloading the issue papers in the portal site, he/she may ask the school for the exact same.
The school will send the query paper straight to the email , telephone or WhatsApp amount of their student.
All of ex-students, who did not look within their terminal/intermediate semester exams during the last academic periods, could also appear at the consequent online OBE to clean their backlog.
The university is currently in the practice of entering into an arrangement with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the ministry of electronic equipment & information technologies, to allow delivery of most citizen centric solutions in their doorstep.
The company has over two lakh operational CSCs found at just about all gram panchayats in the village level.
Under the arrangement, the pupils will get necessary services in the CSCs without needing any fee for procuring the facility.
