Bhubaneswar: Dengue back to bite a wet spell

Bhubaneswar: The case of dengue fever is increasing in the capital once again.
Doctors in various hospitals said among patients who came with complaints of fever, around 10% -15% were testing positive dengue fever, while the rest suffered from flu, malaria, typhus and covid-19.
“The number of patient fever has increased in the past few days.
About 70 percent of outdoor patients complain of fever and a variety of seasonal infections.

However, Health Director Dr.
Niranjan Mishra said that with dengue fever was in the phase of decline and cases increased due to a prolonged rainy season.
“Every day, around 8 to 10 cases of dengue fever are detected in the state, which is not worrying,” he added.
