BHUBANESWAR: The capital city is very likely to be spared by the devastating impact of cyclone Yaas which is predicted to hit on the Odisha shore on May 26. Even though it’s the very first cyclone following Fani in May 2019, men and women in town are somewhat relaxed since the effect will be relatively less. The IMD has predicted that Bhubaneswar will capture heavy rain (might not be incessant) between Tuesday night and Wednesday night. “Bhubaneswar will undergo wind speed of 60 kmph however sometimes gusting around 70 or even 80 kmph. The effect will be much less than that of Fani. But, individuals should remain indoors during extreme end and rain,” stated manager of IMD, regional center H R Biswas.
