Bhubaneswar: temperature slumps up to 10 degrees Celsius

Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperature dropped up to 10 degrees Celsius in the city on Tuesday for the first time this season affected the life while Demaribadi shivered on the day 3.5 degrees Celsius.
The fall at the level of mercury in the city in the middle of a condition like cold waves is 5.2 degrees below normal.
It was also the third lowest temperature recorded in the city in the last 10 years during December, said Umashankar Das, a scientist at the Central IMD center here.
The Indian Meteorology Department said the lowest temperature of all time recorded in the city was 8.2 degrees Celsius on December 30, 2018.
The IMD report said the minimum temperature fell to 9.8 degrees Celsius as of December 31, 2019.
It was said that in 2020 the lowest temperature recorded was 11 , 7 degrees Celsius.
“I jumped over my morning road because it was too cold,” said Hadibandhu Patnaik, a resident.
Likewise, parents said he was late to bring his son at school.
People are also affected in Demaribadi in Kandhamal District due to severe colds.
The IMD report said on Tuesday 17 more places recorded by temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius Bhawanipatna at 6 degrees Celsius saw the highest fall of 6.6 degrees below normal in the state.
The IMD forecast said there would be no concessions from cold waves at least for the next three days.
After that night temperature might see a two to three degrees Celsius, the prediction said.
The watershed said northwest and intimacy to the north and cold winds helped a sharp decline at the level of mercury throughout the country.
He said the minimum temperature for the next three days would be below normal by five to six degrees Celsius on the coast of Odisha and four to five degrees Celsius in the Odisha interior.
IMD forecasts for Wednesday said the condition of cold waves is likely to win remote places in certain districts until Thursday morning.
Former Director of the Central IMD Central Sahu said the parts of Odisha could witness moderate rainfall for three days since December 29.
“This will be caused by Western Disorders,” said Sahu, now the Director of the Center for Environment and Climate in Siksha O Anusandhan is considered a university.
