Bhutan gave the highest civilian award at PM Modi

New Delhi: Reaffirming close-range bonds between Bhutan and India, the Himalayan Kingdom on Friday gave the highest civil decoration – Order Druk Gyalpo (Ngadag Mop Gi Khorlo) – at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 114th National Day even as an India-Chinese border Tension remains unresolved.
This happens when Bhutan strives to deal with Chinese pressure that grows on their borders and strives to develop a border agreement with Beijing, which is suggested several reports do not comply with India.
This award is seen as a political signal for India, underlining the importance of relationships.
Bhutan PM Lotay Tshering Tweeted: “Your Majesty Said the name Mellyy Modiji (Narendra Modi) for the highest civil decoration, Gyalpo’s drunk order”.
For this, Modi said, “Thank you, Lyonchhen @pmbhutan! I was very touched by this warm movement, and expressed a thank you to thanked His Majesty, King Bhutan”.
Tsshhering also said: “HM (Your Majesty) highlighted all the friendships without conditions and Modiji support extended for years.” That Bhutan and India enjoy famous nearby relationships.
It shouldn’t be surprising that Indian PM must get the highest civil honor.
But this year Bhutan has experienced an unprecedented pressure by China to resolve border problems.
