Ranchi: Ramesh Bias took an oath as Governor of 10 Jharkhand in Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
He was given an oath of office by Judge Ravi Ravi Rajan Jharkhand High Court Ravi.
The ceremony was held at Birsa Mandap Raj Bhavan.
A total of 150 guests attended the event including around 50 family members and relatives of the new governor.
“Given the Covid-19 situation, the guest list trimmed from the last time,” said a senior official Raj Bhawan said asking for anonymity.
The Chairman of the Minister of Hemant Soren, the ministers of his cabinet and the state senior bureaucrat attended the ceremony.
Save bias to the office, Soren said: “I sincerely hope that we will get their guidance in directing the country to its development.” Speaking to reporters after taking an oath, bias said the main focus would ensure the development of Jharkhand.
“I will work together with the minister’s chairman and if necessary, will look for all assistance from the center in ensuring that Jharkhand remains on the development path,” he said.
Bias also said that he had invited Soren for detailed discussions about the country.
