Thiruvananthapuram: A day after Aji R, corporate health official, was arrested on charges of simplicity of cleaning staff, he was issued on a guarantee on Monday.
Meanwhile, City Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran directed the corporate secretary to submit an investigation report after a complaint arises that health officials are framed.
The four drivers who attended the main office garage were reported to tell officials that they had witnessed all the events and they did not see sexual progress from health officials.
A corporate staff said that Aji was looking for an explanation from the female staff to turn late to work and said that he could not sign a register since he came one and a half hours after the scheduled work time.
The driver intervened and asked health officials to let him go home.
Aji reportedly then left the office and went home.
Then on that day, he filed a complaint of sexual abuse against the official health followers who were arrested by officials on Sunday night.
Toi tried to contact the complainant but he did not respond.
The recent complainant was dismissed from work because non-performance and various complaints had asked the Mayor of Rajendran to bring him back and he was deployed in the secretariat’s health circle.
Meanwhile, Corporation has begun steps to rearrange internal complaints committees to deal with incidents of sexual harassment at work.
Three years after sexual harassment of women at work (prevention, prohibition, and recovery) began to apply, City Corporation has formed an anti-harassment committee in 2016.
The establishment of the committee has been triggered by an incident where a official woman has caused complaints against senior officials at Technical wing.
The corporation has formed a committee with Deputy Mayor Rakhi Ravikumar as chairman.
Chairman of the Geetha Gopal Welfare Committee, Project Officer, T Geenakumari, an Advocate, and NGO representatives are other members.
The Mayor of Rajendran said that the committee would soon be eradicated.
