WASHINGTON: Biden government announced plans to accelerate legislative funds and grants for port projects, waterways and goods infrastructure in the United States, the White House said on Tuesday about the plan.
“Today, Biden-Harris administration announces a set of concrete steps to accelerate investment in the port, waterways, and shipping networks.
This objective and schedule will mobilize federal agents and laid the foundation for the successful implementation of historic bipartisan infrastructure agreements,” said the White House .
The Biden government will launch a program for the near future to modernize the port and Marine Highways using more than $ 240 million for grants in the next 45 days, the White House said.
In addition, Biden administration will announce more than $ 475 million for funds for port and sea highway infrastructure projects funded by grants from infrastructure agreements, the White House said.
