He spent five terms at home and served as New Mexico Attorney General.
He came from a famous family with public services: his father Stewart Udall served as interior secretary, his uncle Mo Udall was a member of Congress from Colorado and his cousin Mark Udall was a Senator from Colorado.
“After dedicating my life for public services and has served as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that focuses on policies that promote democracy, international development, and conservation, I feel honored to be nominated by the President of Biden for our next role that serves our country,” said Udall in a statement.
Biden is also expected to nominate Democratic Fundraising Jane Hartley to serve as Dubsador to England, according to someone who is familiar with the decision that is not publicly approved.
Not immediately clear when the White House will officially announce the appointment of Hartley, who served as the Ambassador of France and Monaco during the Obama administration.
He was an important fundraising for Run 2020 Biden for the White House.
The White House refused to comment on Hartley’s delayed nomination, which was first reported by Washington Post.
Hartley served as Chief Executive of the Analysis of the Economic and Political Advisory Company Vatory Group, Director of Congress Relations for the Department of Housing and Development of Urban and in the Carter Administration.
He married Ralph Schlosstein, Chief Executive Bank of Encore investment.
The UK Ambassador is one of the highest profile diplomatic profiles and is often accompanied by the hope that candidates can benefit the bill to entertain on behalf of the United States.
Former President Donald Trump turned to the owner of the New York Jet Robert “Woody” Johnson to post London.
Barack Obama turned to the Matthew Barzun businessman and Louis Susman’s lawyer during his time in the office.
Robert Tuttle, a California who made the money in the car dealer business, held a post under George W Bush.
Biden also considered the Nomination of Democratic Funds George Tsunis, Founder and CEO of Chartwell Hotels, to serve as a Greek ambassador, according to people who are familiar with the White House deliberation.
Tsunis was nominated by Obama in 2013 to serve as an ambassador to Norway but surrendered to consideration after hearing the Senate confirmation was difficult.
Tsunis admitted during hearing that he did not visit Norway and mistakenly referred to the head of the country’s government as “President” than “Prime Minister.”
