WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden appointed the former West Virginia Health Commissioner as the top anti-drug official, knocked a doctor who served at the forefront of the epidemic of the National Opioid.
The White House said on Tuesday that Dr.
Rahul Gupta would be the first doctor to lead the National Narcotics Control Policy Office, also known as “czar medicine.” The nomination praised the bipartisan from Western Virginia officials.
