The new arrival is of course a welcome disorder for the President, who ranks his approval has dropped in recent weeks and looked at the rejection of his typical social expenditure bill in the midst of a surge in Covid-19 case.
The White House does not provide more details about commanders.
He is the third dog to join Bidens in the White House.
They have revived the long tradition of the White House pet which was destroyed under former President Donald Trump, when they arrived at the White House with German Shepherds Champ and Major.

Their other pooch, Major, has had difficulty adapting to life in the White House.
In March, he was briefly sent back to the Biden family house in Delaware after at least one biting incident, and in April a female spokesman first announced several “additional training” for dogs.
