Washington: US President Joe Biden said on Friday “In all probabilities” new guidelines or restrictions will be applied in the United States in response to the revival of Covid-19 cases.
Asked whether Americans should expect new recommendations from health authorities or new restrictive measures, the President answers, “in all probabilities,” before leaving the White House with a helicopter for the weekend.
He does not determine what steps can be taken.
The US Federal Authority, officials and local businesses have increased the health protocol in the last few days in the face of soaring cases driven by the spread of very contagious Delta variants.
But Biden added that the country had a “good day” on Thursday in terms of vaccination.
“Nearly one million people are vaccinated,” he said, because his government worked to revive slow inoculation campaigns.
“I hope people begin to realize how important it is.” The US health authority this week recommends that even vaccinated Americans use a mask in the area with a high level of infection.
The federal government has also tightened health regulations for millions of employees, who now have to be vaccinated or use masks and are tested regularly, even in areas with low case numbers.
