Washington: President Joe Biden has nomined former US Ambassador Mark Gitstein to serve as an ambassador of the European Union, the White House said on Tuesday.
Gitenstein, the US ambassador to Romania in the Obama administration, is a member of the Lawyer Board and Biden Foundation.
Gitenstein served as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Biden President’s transition earlier this year, and in 2008 he was related to the Biden transition to the Deputy Presidency, according to the White House.
He also worked for 17 years in the US Senate in various positions including advice for the intelligence committee.
