Washington: The requirement for US President Joe Biden’s vaccine encouraged more Americans to get Covid-19 shots, the White Press Secretary Jen PSAKi said on Friday.
“In the past week, we averaged almost 300,000 first shots” per day for people 12 years and over, PSAKI said, up from less than 250,000 first shots per day in mid-July, before Biden discussed vaccine requirements.
“This requirement is clear, driven by the leadership of the President, more and more people are vaccinated,” he said.
They “will continue to speed up our way from pandemic.”
