Greater Noida: With a city that does not have the right public transportation system, the planned Noida Authority to immediately launch modern bus services.
The proposed bus network aims to connect various sectors and 124 villages in Greater Noida with major places such as Gnida, Collectorate, Metro Stations, main markets and hospitals, and with NCR Cities such as Noida and Ghaziabad.
For this, the authority will provide room for the temporary bus station in Greater Noida (West) which has around 2.5 lakh apartments with more than a Lakh resident who has lived in the area.
The bus station will be able to accommodate four to five intra-city buses, with the supply of parking spaces for several intercity buses from Hapur, Bulandshahr, Noida and Ghaziabad, officials said.
The meeting in this case was held on Wednesday between the senior Gnida official and on the highway.
They will soon come up with route plans and the number of buses.
At present, only the intercity bus that passes the city’s main road through Pari Chowk and Surajpur Kasna Road.
Narendra Bhoooshan, Gnida CEO, said, “In the coming days, the city population will increase rapidly.
Residents from this area have demanded bus connectivity with NCR and in the city for a long time because there are no such facilities available in the current area .
Therefore, we held talks with officials of the highway that has agreed to come up with a plan the route and the number of buses to this area soon.
“During the meeting, the managing director of highway Navdeep Rinwa agreed to arrange a bus and sent a proposal in this regard with Immediate authority.
“Because it is difficult to meet the full cost of operating this bus, we are ready to bear the number left by looking at the needs of the Greater Noida residents,” BhooShan said.
“Residents of Greater Noida (West), Greater Noida (east) and 124 villages stand to benefit because they do not have to depend on auto or taxis to achieve their goals and pay large costs.
They will be able to visit the city of NCR also easily after the service starts , “he added.
