Bihar: 10 Sho shifts because it does not limit sand mining

Patna: The National Police Headquarters has transferred 10 shos, including those posted at Bihta Police Station, Rani Talab and Paliganj in Patna Regency, to other police ranging from the country on ‘administrative reasons’ for sand mining that remains under their respective jurisdictions.
Even though there is a ban on such activities in Sone.
Reports in media and videos appear above illegal sand mining that are rampant along with extortion by police personnel from trucks or tractors.
Bihta Sho Awadesh Kumar Jha has been sent to East Range in Bhagalpur, Paliganj Sho Sunil Kumar to Kosi Range in Saharsa and Rani Talab Sho Satish Kumar to Bettiah in the Champaran range.
All three are inspector ranking officers.
Police Station Mufassil Saran Sho Dairand Singh has been transferred to Bhagalpur and Aurangabad’s Daudnagar Sho Arvind Kumar Gautam to Begusarai.
Raj Kumar, the sub-inspector posted as the Barun Sho police station in Aurangabad was sent to Darbhanga Range.
In suggestions, the four sub-supervisors have been removed from reach.
One of them was posted as a sho and two was attached to the police line by SP Santosh Kumar while someone was suspended.
The source said the transferred was Sho of Dariyapur in advice, Ashok Kumar, and RAM Pukar Ram, Dinesh Kumar and Sanjay Prasad.
“RAM and Dinesh are attached to the police line.
RAM was previously posted as a regular officer at the Sonepur Police Station.
Dinesh removed the post of Diphwara Sho while Sanjay Posted as Doriganj Sho before his suspension,” said a source.
A senior IPS officer said the river sone and sand loaded vehicle passed through the area that fell below the police station above.
“Transfers may be in an effort to send messages to field officers that they are being watched,” he said.
