Patna: Police claim to have damaged a group of telephone snatchers and drug vendors because two members were arrested at Gardanibagh with 34 cellphones looted, three sports bikes, two bags, ornaments and medicines on Saturday night.
Gardanibagh Sho Arun Kumar said they were arrested were Goal Kumar alias Vicky (22) and Rajkumar Paswan (23).
Kumar said 14 packages of brown sugar and 1,15kg marijuana were recovered on their recognition.
Sho tells the eger is a bicycle racer expert and has won a free sports bike worth around RS3.5 lakh two years ago.
“Goals and their gangs are used to seize cellphones, bags of those who walk or travel with the Autorickshaws.
They also become a racket peddle drugs.
Goals are used to move bicycles when they are looting and grabbing when he is an expert in driving even in traffic jams,” he said.
He said the recovery was made from a house near Lal Mandir.
He said the gang had seven members.
Five avoided arrest.
Sachivallaya ASP Kamya Mishra said the police knew about the gang while investigating a bag of bags from the autorickshaw.
“The police traced the owner of the cellphone recovered.
Goals and Rajkumar criminal antecedents are also looking for,” he said.
