Bihar: 3 Children died in Accident in Sitamarhi District

Patna: Three children died under a stack of sand when the truck carried out it lost balance and sloping on the roadside where they played in the village of Madhuban under the area of ​​the Punaura Police Station in Sitamarhi City around 3 pm on Friday.
Sitamarhi Sadar Sdpo Ramakant Upadhayay said the deceased was identified as Dabsa Begum (14), Abid Ansari (7) and six months Saima Khatoon.
He said at least three other children playing there were also injured in the accident.
DSP said the ten wheel truck was overloaded with sand.
“It is not clear whether the sand is mined illegally or law.
It goes to Riga,” he said.
DSP said the truck driver and co-driver escaped from the place after the accident.
“There is no receipt of sand needed to transport sand found in the truck,” he said.
Upadhayay said it seemed that the truck was overloaded trying to follow several other vehicles near the place.
“The road where the accident occurred narrowly.
It seems that the truck wheel slips from the road and the driver loses balance and falls to the side because the sand is overloaded.
Sand spills and children are destroyed below it,” DSP said.
He said the corpse was separated only after a heavy duty crane used to pull the truck straight and the sand was removed.
Upadhayay said further investigation was associated with the accident.
He said the injured children rushed to a conscious hospital for care.
