Bihar: 5 was held in the case of Nawada Hooch’s death

Patna: Five people have been sent to prison until Thursday night in connection with the alleged death of a person in Barhi Bigha Village under the Mufasil police station on Wednesday morning.
One Chouhan Ganesh (34) was found dead in his room in the village.
This is the second incident in Nawada in four months.
At least 16 people, including a teenager, had died of alleged hooch poisoning at Nawada Town after Holi in March this year.
Mufassil Sho Lal Bihari Paswan said Rohan Chauhan (35), who was involved in manufacturing Communicating fluid at his residence, among the five captured in this case.
“Rohan and four others are produced in front of the court that continues them to be imprisoned,” he said.
Two members of the Rohan family avoided arrest.
Sho said about 5.5 liters of state liquor and several liquor manufacturing equipment were confiscated from Rohan’s residence.
However, he said only further investigation and forensic reports would explain whether Ganesh died after consuming poisonous hooch.
“The Ganesh family alleged that he had consumed liquor at Rohan’s residence Tuesday night.
They had to take him home and make him sleep in his room.
The next morning, he was found dead.
They alleged that Ganesh died of consumption of liquor,” Sho said, quoting Fir , “There were no chemicals or drugs that were restored during the attack.
Ganesh’s body viscera has been maintained after postmortem for further analysis,” he said, adding police also registered firs from his side in connection with manufacturing and recovery of liquor.
