Purnia: Overall 7,42,968 beneficiaries, including 1,45,861 in urban areas, has received Covid vaccine shots in Purnia so far.
In addition, the number of antigen tests and fast RT-PCR also rose in the district.
Dr.
S K VERMA, the Purnia Civil Surgeon (CS), told reporters on Tuesday that nearly 80,000 doses of covid vaccine would likely reach the district in one or two days.
“We plan to launch a door-to-door vaccination drive to provide Jab Covid to everyone.
City workers, auxiliary nurse midwives, flat officers, and tax collectors will be issued to help paramedics,” Dr.
Verma said.
Asked about the status of covid vaccination and tests, CS replied, “9,995 people were immunized on Mondays and 10,041 on Sunday.” He added, “From 6,682 samples taken for fast antigen and RT-PCR tests on Monday, no positive tested for Covid.
Overall 7,285 samples were taken on Sundays where only one was found positive.
Even on Saturdays , there are no positive cases detected.
