Jha.
He said Ishika was taken to hospital in critical condition on July 14.
“Even though the doctors had tried their best, he could not survive.
He was referred to SKMCH from a private hospital after his health deteriorated,” said the supervisor.
Drh Jha said the hospital had five confirmed and four cases of AES were suspected.
“Three patients have been treated in Ward trigger,” he added.
Drh Jha said high temperatures, moisture and malnutrition had caused a sudden increase in the AES case in the region.
“Thank you for heavy rainfall on Sundays, we hope the cases will decrease substantially,” he added.
