Patna: After accounting 33 lakh people on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, the State Health Department has decided to spend the Covid vaccine stock during the mega immunization encouragement on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on the day.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director of Secretary-Cum-Executive Special State Health, told this reporter on Wednesday, “At present, we have 35 Lakh Covid vaccines in stock.” He added, “While 64% of beneficiaries, over the age of 18, have received their first dose, more than 14% of people have been fully vaccinated.” Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has asked all civil surgeons and officials concerned to make detailed plans to increase vaccination drives on Saturday.

“Officials concerned will conduct surveys in all Panchayats and identify unmunized people.
