Bihar: Bhagalpur Forest Division to Point 10 Bird Guide

Bhagalpur: Bhagalpur Forest Division has decided to appoint 10 ‘bird guides’ for nature lovers in the area, which has become the dominant residence of migratory and oriental birds in recent years because of its versatile topography in the Ganga and Kosi region .
The aim is to create awareness about various bird species, in addition to promoting natural tourism in the area.
Bhagalpur Division Forest Officer (DFO) Bharat Chit Palli on Tuesday told this newspaper that the ‘bird guide’ would be appointed soon.
More than 50 applications have been submitted by the conservationist, Palli said and added that applicants must qualify in theoretical and practical tests and undergo a strict minimum training of one month.
‘Bird Guide’ will be taught about bird taxonomies, nature conservation, regional topography, life skills, first aid and health care techniques, prevention of snake poisoning, disaster management techniques, swimming, soft skills and local communication skills other than others safety and survival if There is a possibility in a wild field for themselves and from birders and conservationists.
‘Birder’ is a person whose hobbies are watching and studying wild birds in their natural environment, DFO said, adding that the Bhagalpur area has become one of the most attractive purposes of birding that has forests, grasslands, agricultural land and wetlands that maintain Bird populations are typical species and varies from those found in other habitats.
“We also aim to promote natural conservation and wildlife with the help of bird guidelines and promote natural tourism by bringing people close to nature and fostering attention through birds and relieving work stress,” he said.
“We will provide bird guide kits and tools, including high quality binoculars, dresses that can be identified, hunter shoes, bags, night vision etc.
In addition to accreditation numbers and identity cards to bird guidelines to help nature fans and badani sojourn,” said Palli Gyan Chandra Gyani, a spectator and natural conservationist who works to promote biodiversity, said it was a welcome step for conservation of biodiversity and bird monitoring and birding in addition to promoting natural tourism.
