Patna: Chairman of Minister Nith Kumar on Saturday inaugurated hospitalization at the Jai Prabha Medanta Hospital in the city and asked the hospital administration to make functional cancer wings immediately.
The previous year, Nitish had inaugurated the hospital OPD service.
Praising the services provided by Medanta in the health care sector, Nitish said the JP name association with it in Bihar will also have an impact because they will continue to serve with dedication.
He remembered how Jai Prabha’s hospital began in 1979 and JP always dreamed of providing cancer treatment facilities to the people.
“In 2005, when we took over, we had a brainstorming session with several hospitals.
No one was ready to take it.
Then Medanta advanced,” Nitish said, added, “They did a great job as a private hospital and had brought doctors and had brought doctors and their health care workers here.
I feel happy and satisfied after seeing all these things.
“While interacting with the media, Nitish said that 25% of the bed would be intended for poor patients and the agreement had also been signed with hospitals to provide treatment for government officials with a nominal level.
Located in Kankakarbagh, this 500 bed hospital is spread in 7 hectares of land.
It has 112 critical care beds and 14 operating cinemas.
Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Chair of the Medanta and Managing Director, Dr.

“Dr.

The Chairperson of the Institute of Neurosciences in Medanta, Dr.
VP Singh, said they believed in a holistic and integrated approach during patient treatment and received assistance from experts in various fields while dealing with complicated cases.
Dr.
Rajiva Gupta, Chairman of the Rheumatology Division, said JP Medanta is now part of the Medanta family and experts from each unit will fill the gap, wherever needed.
Dr.
KK Handa, Chair of the Ent Division, added, “We in Medanta have coordination and cohesion with each other.” Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey, Industrial Minister Shahnawaz Hussain, MLC Kedar Nath Pandey and former MLC Ranbir Nandan was present during the event.
