Patna: The Chairperson of Minister of Nitish Kumar will launch adolescent vaccination between 15 and 18 years in the state in Igim at 10 am on Monday.
Simultaneous vaccination of this age group will be carried out throughout the state.
On Sundays, the state gets an additional four doses of lakh covaxin for teenagers.
Bihar has 83.46 Lakh recipients in this age group and according to central advice, they will only be given Covaxin.
With 14 doses of lakh covaxin which was kept earlier, Bihar would have 18 doses of lakh to start.
“New doses will be added as needed,” said an official.
Minister of Health Mangal Pandey said teenagers would vaccinate at 2801 centers at Bihar.
The amount can increase or decrease depending on the needs and situation.
All government high schools have been told to hold at least one vaccination session for teenagers.
Because this age group is given a covaxin, they will be eligible for the second dose after the span of 28 days.
When asked about the number of beneficiaries in the age group 15 to 18 years, an official said, “We are ready to vaccinate even five teenagers lakh a day.
However, the amount of registration is available for the trade union government.” Also considered that the majority will come for Registration of places like the previous trend in Bihar.
Apart from the vaccination of children between 15 and 18 years, CM will launch a prevention dose for health workers and frontline workers and senior citizens with comorbidity at IGIM on January 10 on January 10.
