Sitamarhi / Patna: A sub-inspector, Mososi Ali, was ordered after a Septuagenarian, who was arrested by cell-smelly liquor, died in police custody in the Mehsaul police station under the police station in Sitamarhi Night.
Ali is responsible for the leading post.
Victims were identified as Vishwanath Choudhary (72).
He was arrested with 18 liters of state liquor from his residence in Ward Number 3 in the Krishna Nagar area from the city of Sitamarhi before his death.
Liquor seized packed in a small bag of 180ml each.
PEVED at Choudhary’s death, local residents blocked the road in Mehsaul Chowk in the city for several hours on Tuesday.
The blockade was cleared only after senior officials calmed the demonstrators and convinced them to the right investigation of the incident.
Vikash Kumar Rai City Police Station said that Choudhary’s wife, Gayatri Devi, has filed a brilliant shot against the Ali, accusing him to beat her husband to police custody.
Sitamarhi SP Har Kishore Rai said Ali had been placed under suspension due to negligence of the task.
The Choudhary added SP was placed in locking after his arrest.
“Ali and the others were busy preparing FIR and doing other procedural work.
After about an hour, they found Choudhary unconsciously in locking.
He rushed to a local hospital where the doctors claimed he was taken dead,” Rai said.
SP said Post-Mortem Choudhary was carried out by the medical council before a judge on Tuesday.
“According to post-Mortem reports, Choudhary died of a heart attack.
There are no signs of an external injury found in his body,” he said.
According to the police, Choudhary and his wife were involved in smuggling of state liquor.
“Both of them have been arrested on several occasions in the past,” said Sdpo Ramakant Upadhaya.
