Bihar: Cricket’s body officials are held to consume liquor

Patna: The General Manager of the Cricket Bihar Association (BCA), Neeraj Singh, was arrested on Thursday night on charges of violating the Law of the ban.
He was forwarded to Judicial custody after being produced in Patna’s court on Friday.
Singh was arrested from the Association Guesthouse in Manav Enclave apartment near Alpana Market under the Patliputra Police Station area here for allegedly holding a liquor party.
Sho from the police station Patliputra Satyendra Kumar Shahi said the police raided the guesthouse after receiving information that some people held a liquor party there and created a commotion.
“However, the police only found Singh in the flat.
Glass containing 100ml liquor was captured from the place.
There are no bottles of liquor found,” he said, adding a Breathalyser test revealed that Singh had consumed liquor.
“A fir put forward against Singh based on written complaints delivered by Ramakant Thakur’s milk, one of the two officers who raided the guesthouse.
The room from where Singh was arrested has been sealed.
The rest of the guesthouse can be accessed,” Sho added.
