Patna: Bihar crosses the 6-crore jab mark on Saturday when given 5.12,332 covid vaccine doses.
It also becomes the sixth country in this country to reach this historical milestone.
According to sources, 6,03,53,851 people have been vaccinated in government and private centers so far.
While 4.67.54,374 had received their first dose, 1.35,99,477 was fully inoculated.
As far as the recipient category was worried, at all 3,55,26,994 people over the age of 18, 1,41.58,542 in the age group 45 to 60 years, and 1,06,68,315 were senior citizens.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey told Journalists, “It is only because of the people’s cooperation that more than 6 Crore recipients have been inoculated in the state.
If they continue to work with the government, we will be able to manage more than 8 doses of crore in December.
It is also impossible without constant support from the head of Minister Nith Kumar.
“He added,” Nearly 15,000 vaccination centers function where more than 50,000 health workers are declared to immunize as many people as possible.
” The Minister also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appealed to the state community to take their second dose “if not vaccines may be ineffective”.
At Patna itself, 52.4 lakh people have been inoculated.
This includes 33 Lakh beneficiaries, who have received their first shots, and 19.38 people lakh, who are fully vaccinated.
Patna Logs One COV Case Fresh: Bihar reports four cases of Covid-19 new in the last 24 hours, which pushed Tally to 7.25,987, the Bulletin Health Department said on Saturday.
Toll continues to 9,661 because there is no new fatality reported during the period.
Of the four new cases, each respectively registered in Patna, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, and Sitamarhi.
However, there were no new cases registered in 34 districts.
