PATNA: After three days of lodging an FIR from a guy who died a couple of decades back, that the Jehanabad authorities remains to determine if the accused reserved beneath The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act remains dead or alive.
One Jagdish Das of the Waina village at Gandhar panchayat beneath Ghosi police station region of Jehanabad lodged an FIR with SC/ST police station contrary to eight top caste individuals, such as a single Neeraj Kumar, for attacking and abusing him from his own caste when he’d gone into a village store to buy some household things on June 9.
If asked on Sunday, SHO Baleshwar Paswan said authorities were investigating the issue to determine when the accused Neeraj was alive or dead.
“I have come to understand from media reports just which Neeraj is dead,” he explained.
Once contacted, panchayat sarpanch Siddhnath Sharma verified that Neeraj died of cancer about a couple of decades back.
“He was able to work at a mill at Delhi.
After undergoing therapy in Safdarjung hospital for quite a very long time, he’d returned home and then died,” he explained.
The sarpanch alleged that the FIR has been sentenced to implicate some upper caste individuals over a dare.
“The situation is a fallout of torching an autorickshaw of a single Santosh Ram of this village with miscreants on June seven nighttime.
Santosh blamed his neighbor Mrityunjay Pandey to the episode and lodged an FIR against him together with Ghosi police channel,” he explained.
Sharma explained some upper caste folks promised Santosh following morning he could be suitably compensated for its reduction.
“But, Santosh began projecting caste-indicative abuses after two top caste youths pounded him on.
They were promptly stopped by the older villagers,” he explained.
He explained later in the summertime time, Santosh’s associates analyzed the top caste youths involved with the afternoon brawl and thrashed them and either side approached the authorities.
When contacted Sunday, Ghosi police station SHO Nikhil Kumar said village chowkidar Munarik Paswan verified the accused Neeraj had been lifeless.
“We’ll share this info with all the SC/ST police channel,” he explained.
SHO Kumar said entirely five FIRs — for torching of automobile and 2 each by either side to get brawl — were enrolled in June 10.
“Many accused from either side are evading arrest,” he explained.
