PATNA/SAMASTIPUR: A deputy mukhiya taken co-villager Shravan Kumar (30) lifeless over draining out gathered rainwater close to his home at Adharpur at exactly the identical panchayat beneath Mufassil police station place at Samastipur district Monday.
In retaliation, the family members of the deceased followed by a few regional residents attacked the home of the accused Md Hasnain along with his spouse Sanauwar Khatoon (35) and nephew Md Anwar (30).
They also place Hasnain’s house ablaze and ruined a customer support center at Khadi Bhandar Chowk.
A vehicle parked outside his home was also torched from the mob.
Shravan, a farmer by profession, died on the place.
While Anwar reacted to his injuries through treatment in a hospital at Samastipur, Sanauwar drowned into a ditch full of rainwater inside her bid to escape the mob fury.
Hasnain, nevertheless, managed to escape unhurt.
The difficulty began on Sunday evening when Hasnain objected into some plastic pipe laid from his neighbor Shravan to empty accumulated rainwater close to his home.
Locals said the issue was settled following the intervention of several taxpayers.
At about 8am on Monday, Hasnain fired Shravan when he had been active in draining rainwater out after cutting some of the street in the front of the deputy mukhiya’s home.
IG, Darbhanga variety, Ajitabh Kumar hurried to the place and asked about the episode.
The senior officers, however, clarified the problem as tense but under control.
Samastipur DM Shashank Shubhankar reported the incident happened after a dispute on draining rainwater out close to the home of Shravan.
His neighbor raised objections, causing the departure of 3 individuals from the 2 sides.
He said further armed police staff along with a magistrate are set up in the village to ward off any untoward event.
The DM said those included with the episode wouldn’t be spared.
“Raids will soon be established when the situation becomes ordinary,” he explained, including a meeting of their peace committee was held in the village.
