Patna: The State Government on Tuesday calculates Damage Details of Rs 3,763 Crore caused by three phases of flood this year and hand over the same time to the central team of six members led by RK Singh, a joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Union, said Source.
The central team, which made an air survey of around 16 districts affected by floods, including Darbhanga and Bhagalpur, in the past two days, will make its own assessment of the level of damage before comparing it with the details delivered by the state government to achieve the amount of money that can be given to the state as a central aid.
On Monday, the team made a air survey of parts of Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga who were affected by the flood.
Then, it takes a stock situation with DM Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Sitamarhi in Darbhanga.
Likewise, it also made an air survey of the parts affected by flooding in districts along the flow of gangetics to Bhagalpur Regency, in addition to holding discussions with DM Bhagalpur.
Then, the team went to Nagachhia on the north side of Ganga through the road before returning to Patna for a high-level meeting, where the state government presented the details of the estimated damage.
Maximum damage worth RS 1,469 Crore has been suffered by the Ministry of Water Resources (WRD) which embankment ismailpur-bindtoli in northern Bhagalpur, besides the Bund small in Dagmara in Supaul Regency and long stretch of zam avoiding Bunds in South Bihar.
The department has also designated erosion caused by the river when the flood has begun to recede.
Likewise, the rural work department has suffered damage to the rural road worth RS 234 Crore, Department of Agriculture Rs 661 Crore, RS 203 Crore Road Construction Department and the Energy Department of the Energy Rs 14 Crore.
Some school buildings are also drifted by floods.
The Disaster Management Department has spent 1,159 crore Rs to provide free assistance to flooded families, food for people moved in the kitchen community and other relief materials.
Meanwhile, Vijay Kumar Choudhary’s Parliament Minister told MediodPersons that the central team arrived to conduct an assessment when the flood began to recede.
“We sincerely hope that the central team will make an assessment that is justified by damage caused by flooding,” Choudhary said.
