Patna: Special Court for the trial of a criminal case against MPs / Mlaas on Monday was given a five-year prison to the former JD (U) MLA RAM Balak Singh and his brother Lal Babu Singh in a murder case against the attack on the murder of the leader CPM Lalan Singh.
Special Judge Court (III), Samastipur, Pranav Kumar Jha, also slapped the fine of RS15,000 in every prisoner.
RAM Balak represents the Bibhutipur assembly chair (Samastipur) in 2010 and 2015.
“The court was given a 5-year prison sentence under the part 27 of the Arm Law and the 3-year imprisonment under the 324 IPC.
However, the court said the two sentences would go together.
Thus , Effective prison sentence will be five years old, “Advokat Manoj Kumar Gupta, who represents the CPM leader, told Ti by telephone.
Earlier on Friday, the court had embraced them guilty of killing attacks on CPM leaders and sent both prison brothers.
Both inmates joined the court process through video conferencing from prison.
Gupta said Lalan had submitted FIR at the Bibhutipur police station on June 5, 2000 against Ram Balak and Lal Babu.
According to FIR, Lalan, a native of Shivnarthpur Village under the Bibhutipur police station, was attacked near his house.
“FIR was listed under Section 341, 323, 307, 34 of IPC and 27 ARM.
However, the court, after hearing witnesses, repented part 307 became part 324,” Gupta said.
After completing the trial on September 10, the court found them guilty based on part 324 IPCs (voluntarily cause injured by weapons or dangerous facilities) and part 27 ARM, advocate said.
