PATNA: The Bihar government on Monday expanded the lockdown by a second week, until June 8, however, eased some of the constraints so as to facilitate business tasks.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar made the statement on social websites after chairing a meeting of the emergency management team that contains his cabinet colleagues and leading officials.
“In light of this corona epidemic, a determination was taken to expand the lockdown with every week, until June 8.
But some additional concessions will be created for company activities.
Individuals are asked to put on masks and keep social bookmarking,” Kumar tweeted in Hindi.
Detailed guidelines about the protracted length of the lockdown is going to be published later in the afternoon, officials explained.
The lockdown was initially clamped from May 5 to 15, subsequently stretched until May 25 and up to June 1.
