DARBHANGA: Mohan Paswan, dad of’cycle woman’ Jyoti Kumari, expired on Monday because of a cardiac arrest.
Jyoti’d hit the headlines a year ago for bringing her dad into Darbhanga from Gurugram to a bike, pedalling about 1,100kilometers, throughout the Covid-induced lockdown.
The Darbhanga district government has condoled the passing of Mohan.
Block development officer of Singhwara laid back to the mortal remains of Mohan and ensured Jyoti of support.
Jyoti’s daddy used to induce an e-rickshaw in Gurugram.
He had, nevertheless, become jobless after devoting his rickshaw into its operator after the nationally lockdown in April this past year.
He had previously endured an injury in his leg, after that his 16-year-old daughter Jyoti had gone into the federal capital to care for her dad.
Faced with severe lack of cash, Jyoti and her dad had begun their perilous trip from Delhi on May 10 after purchasing a bike for Rs 500.

He passed away before being taken to hospital.
On January 25 this season, Jyoti was conferred with Pradhan Mantri Bal Puraskar from PM Narendra Modi.
