Bihar: Four SPS is overthrown for illegal sand mining

Patna: Four Police Officers Sub-Division (SDO) posted in Patna, the Bhojpur District Aurangabad and Rohta was removed on Thursday as part of the stabilization of the state of rampant illegal sand mining, storage and transportation from the SONE river in six districts.
What was removed was Polliganj Sdpo Teener Ahmed, Bhojpur aware of Sdpo Pankaj Kumar Rawat, Aurangabad aware of Sdpo Anup Kumar and Dehri Sdpo Sanjay Kumar.
Previously on Wednesday, the state government had transferred Aurangabad SP Sudheer Kumar Porika and Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey and several other officers, including DTOS, blocking officers and motor vehicle inspectors.
Police headquarters’ sources confirmed that SDO was removed because of their alleged Nexus with a sand mafia.
The source said the economic violation unit (Eou) ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan had mentioned their Nexus in a detailed investigation report submitted to the state government.
Sand mining in Sone River is prohibited from Bihar.
The four have been attached to state police headquarters.
Their removal was ordered by ADG (headquarters) Jitendra Kumar based on the House Department letter based on the request of EOO.
Overall 24 officers, including two IPS officers, one SDO and four SDPOS, were removed in the last 24 hours based on the EOO report.
When contacted, mining and the Minister of Geology Department Janak RAM signaled more actions to be taken against officers and mafia involved in sand smuggling.
He said Cm Nitish Kumar maintained the closure throughout the development.
“The FIRS will also be registered with the confiscation of the property of the official accused,” he said, refusing to reveal further details.
The RAM department has transferred his officer Sanjay Kumar, Surendra Prasad Sinha, Rajesh Kumar Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, posting field and attach it to the department’s head office with direct effects.
It also returns the service BHOJPUR Mines Inspector Ranjeet Kumar and the Suggestions of Mines Inspector Madhusudan Charutvedi to their parents’ cooperative department with requests to take action against them on the basis.
In the allegations they were involved in facilitating illegal sand mining.
A senior house department officer said the CM nod was awaited for further action against officers.
The Department of Revenue and Land reform on Wednesday night also removed the Circle Koilwar, Bikram, Bihta, Phularisharif and Ghosi officers for alleged their role in illegal sand mining, storage and transportation.
