Patna: Eight including BJP MLA female nephew is avoiding the arrest while the two brothers and duos of the children have been arrested in the last 24 hours because of their alleged involvement in the murder of Major Paswan Pashar.
Paswan, who remained the mayor was almost not around two months after being elected without the starting position this year, was shot dead at Santoshi Chowk under the Katihar City Police Station at around 9:30 a.m.
on Thursday.
Paswan is well connected politically and has climbed a successful ladder quickly in professional life in the past six months.
The Mayor’s post has fallen in vacancy after which previously became MLA after fighting with the election of assembly of 2019.
Purnia Range IG Suresh Kumar Chaudhary said that the police interrogated the person arrested.
“The motive behind the murder will be clear in the coming hours from the ongoing interrogation and investigation.
Raids are ongoing for other naits named accused in FIR,” he said.
IG said that the police in all district police were alert to avoid the law and situation of order that might arise from the killing of political people.
“However, until the situation is now normal.
Rugwan supporters have protested at KMC and the city police station last night.
Additional forces have been deployed in several places as needed,” he said.
To avoid unwanted situations from Friday morning, the police received a post-corpse of the body of Paswan carried out in conscious Hospital by the medical board right after Thursday midnight hours after the murder.
Sho City Police Station Raghvendra Prasad Singh said the people arrested were Brother Paswan (32) and Shubham Paswan (28) and Kumkum Devi (55) and his daughter Manaha Srivastava (28).
Sho said that the fourth was a resident of the Teach driver near Santoshi Chowk where the murder took place.
“The killers hid around Kumkum’s house in front of the former mayor parked his bicycle before being killed.
Paswan received a phone call only after that he left home on Thursday night,” he said.
Singh said Brother Paswan Chotu Paswan had submitted FIR against 12 people including four who were arrested for killing him after hatching conspiracy for personal competition.
“Neeraj Paswan is the one who accuses number one and premier in Fir.
He is a person who is a nephew of a BJP MLA from Katihar,” Sho added.
He said that four bicycles left allegedly used by killers, two-made states including semi-automatic ones, two empty cartridges and three live cartridges recovered from the place during the day from the murder point.
“In addition, the police also arrested a cellphone from the four people arrested,” Sho Singh said.
He said the former mayor entered the real estate business in addition to remaining politically active.
Commissioner Kota Katihar Minendra Kumar said that Paswan was the Mayor until June 26 this year.
“His ownership is almost not two months.
The ownership of the council has passed and the new election is caused by a Pandemic Covid-19,” he said.
The Commissioner said Paswan was a member of the Board of 16 for two consecutive terms.
“His wife Manju Devi was chosen as a board member from Ward 17 from three consecutive times.
He is popular because of his friendly and helpfulness,” he added.
