Patna: Bihar will start a mega six crore vaccination on a six-month trip from Thursday amid a lack of vaccines.
Some districts have been without vaccine doses for the past four days.
Minister of Health Mangal Pandey said the state had received 7.75 doses of lakh vaccines on Wednesday and an additional 10 doses of lakh will come at the end of this week.
However, data on Covid-19 vaccination owned by the Workers Union government showed a major decline in the number of vaccinations in Bihar since June 27.
In accordance with the data, 35,135 people were given a vaccine on June 27, which is the least amount of vaccination in the past month.
On June 28, a total of 49,760 beneficiaries got a photo.
On June 29, 38,164 beneficiaries received a vaccine jab.
Only 22,699 beneficiaries inoculated until June 30 night.
Eleven districts have no vaccination on Wednesday.
There has been no vaccination in the Arwal district, Begusarai and Sitamarhi since June 27.
In Darbhanga, only 50 recipients were vaccinated on June 27.
In Sheikhpura, the last vaccination was carried out on June 25.
Even Gopalganj, Lakhisarai, Madhepura, and Sheikhpura have zero vaccinations until 5 pm on Wednesday while less than 100 people in these districts receive shots on Tuesday.
Data Tuesday showed that only 10 people were given a vaccine in Lakhisarai, 24 in Gopalganj, 23 in Jehabad, 43 in Khagaria, 69 in Madhepura, 12 in Saharsa and 50 in Sheohar.
Patna, where an average of 35,000 people vaccinated every day until recently, reported vaccination only 5,427 beneficiaries on June 27, followed by 19,701 on June 28 and 21,300 on June 29.
Patna District Judge Chandrashekhar Singh said they got one dose of fresh lakh vaccine.
On Wednesday – 30,000 covishield and 70,000 covaxin.
Singh said they would do their routine immunization because the vaccine continued to come.
“There will be no problems in achieving the target.
We create awareness and simultaneously vaccinate people,” he added.
