Patna: After managing a record of 36.56 doses of the Lakh vaccine against Covid-19 in a week, the state has set a target to vaccinate 1.25 crore people who meet the requirements at the end of this month.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director of Secretary of the Health Public Health of the State of State and Bihar AIDS Control Society, said the target for September was based on a guarantee to get a lot of vaccine doses this month.
“The country has received 34 doses of lakh in the first week of September, where 4-5 lakh doses are abandoned in inventory.
Fresh stock is likely to arrive on September 11,” he said.
“The state is set to achieve the target of giving ‘Crore Doses to 6 Crore people in six months at the end of December.
In the past two months, around 2.16 crore populations have been vaccinated and a total of 4.21 crores in the state have received Jab,” he said.
At Bihar, 72.37,660 people are fully vaccinated, which is the tenth highest among all countries in this country.
The state has provided 4.21.23,689 doses so far, including 3.48.86,029 people get their first dose, according to information about the Cowin dashboard.
Overall 7.27.224 doses have been given at 6,704 session sites in the state on Tuesday as part of a special drive.
On Tuesday, 76,473 beneficiaries inoculated in Patna District and 40,694 of them received their first dose.
According to the administrative District Patna, 42 doses of lakh have been given so far, including 29.8 people getting the first jab.
“In the city of Patna, more than 1 dose of lakh is given in one day for the third time on Monday,” said an official.

Vibha Kumari said, “We have Tikka Express and vans other than session sites to vaccinate more people in the district.
Health officials now focus on rural areas to achieve the first dose target to be the maximum person while the main focus is on Urban areas are to provide second doses to beneficiaries.
