Bihar Govt to launch an English Literacy Program at school

Patna: The state government has decided to launch a special program to improve the competence of elementary school children in English.
However, their teacher will be trained first.
Sanjay Kumar, Head of the Additional Education Secretary, told this reporter, “Even though the English language teachings starting from class I at school, many children fail to have a clear understanding of language.

Now, elementary school teachers in the state will undergo virtual training programs on YouTube or WhatsApp and help children increase their knowledge of English.
Other institutions involved in this program will provide technical assistance to schools.
According to the agreement, a specially designed English Literacy Program will make government school teachers study the simple techniques they will use to develop reading, writing, construction skills and skills among children.
Trained teachers will also be given a certificate in the end.
“Training program, which starts next month, will be implemented in a phase in three years,” said an official of the Ministry of Education.
The English Literacy Program has been successfully implemented in countries such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.
