Patna: RJD on Sunday demands identification of anonymous callers who allegedly abuse Deputy Vice President of the Shivanand Party Tiwari by telephone.
It also demanded action against callers who had harassed Tiwari by taking Umbrage for his statement in Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Tiwari said he got a call from an unknown number and the caller began to abuse, his mother who was dead and other family members.
“I have given my view of Savarkar to media outlets.
It has been written in books considered by Savarkar to become a useful animal, but opposed to giving a mother’s stature,” Tiwari said in a written statement.
He expressed concern about the way parts of people spewed poisons and “inhibit the unity of the country”.
He mentioned about the recent events in Haridwar where the call for Muslim genocide was allegedly made.
“I am a victim of hatred like that,” said Tiwari.
RJD State spokesman Chitranjan Gagan said the police had to take these things seriously and take strict action against guilty.
“This episode will hamper the country’s democracy if it is not immediately controlled,” he added.
