Bihar: JD (U) Disappointed with Special Status Problems

Patna: Even though Cm Nith Kumar on Tuesday described it as a ‘balanced budget’ despite the detrimental situation induced by Covid, his party JD (U) was very disappointed because it did not mention the status grant of the special category for Bihar.
“Historic Union budget for developed countries, but disappointing Bihar.
Minister of Finance Union @NSitharaman has disappointed all residents of Bihar by ignoring the demand to provide the status of the Special Category to the State,” JD (U) Chair of the National Parliamentary Council and the Former Minister of Union Upendra Kushwaha Tweeted in Hindi.
Kushwaha has posted his tweet with a tag, “Dish to Pradhan, Bihar Par Dhyan ‘(Head of State, please give attention to Bihar).” Reacting to the Union budget, the State President JD (U) Umesh Kushwaha said, “Despite being praised ‘because he presents a blueprint for the next 25 years, our request to provide the status of the special category to Bihar is still alive.” Bihar meets the requirements of all angles to get the status of the special category, he said.
“We continue to raise this request before the trade union government.
If Bihar gets the status of the state special categories or a special economic package, the development work will be faster,” Kushwaha told Toi.
He also showed that the new scheme – Pradhan Mantri Purvottar Vikas Yojana – was launched.
For this, the initial provisions of RS1,500 Crore are being made.
“In the same pattern, having some special attention given to Bihar, we will be happier,” Kushwaha said.
JD (u) spokesman and former MLC Ranbir Nandan said, “We have very high expectations, but disappointed.”
