Biharsharif: A jewelry was shot dead by unknown criminals at Juafar Bazar under the Nalanda police station area here on Saturday night.
The criminals pumped two bullets into the jewelry stomach, Raju Kumar, when he was on his way home with a motorcycle after closing his shop.
They also looted jewelry worth around Rs 2.5 lakh from Raju.
Police said the locals rushed Raju, a resident of Badgaon Village under the Nalanda Police Station area, to the Biharsharif Hospital conscious.
When his condition was serious, the doctors referred him to the Vardhaman Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) -pawapuri after first aid.
Raju, however, gave up on his injury on his way to VIMS.
