Patna: facing sharp anger from people in general and also a political class, the head of the former CM and Hindustan lay Morcha (secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday apologized for using harsh words to the Brahmin, describing it as “Slip Tongue” .
However, Manjhi stated that he would continue to protest “Brahminism”.
“My words that are contrary to ‘pandits’ may be caused by the tongue slip that I apologize.
However, my seat is not against the Brahmani, but Brahminism,” Manjhi tweeted.
“Brahmana hates Dalits, treat and describe it as untouched.
They hang bones in their necks, broom their waist and also tie ‘Ghunghroo’ to their ankles.
I will continue to protest it,” he continued tweets.
An apology from Manjhi, however, failed to relieve BJP functionaries.
Gajendra Jha, a BJP official, go public with his same public announcement to surprise him through a video clip, where he claimed that he would give anyone Rs 11 Lakh if he cut Manjhi’s tongue and took him to him.
This does not go down well with BJP countries that immediately enter damage control mode.
“I have to explain that Jha is a BJP member, but she does not post a post,” said Prem spokesman Ranjan Patel.
“Manjhi had to apologize for what he said to the brahmana.
His attitude was despicable and his words must be condemned.
It was equally true that Jha’s attitude was also cursed,” Patel added.
BJP MPS Ashok Kumar Yadav and Pradip Kumar Singh said Manjhi’s attitude was dividing and he had to apologize before the “people in the country” because he used harsh words to the Brahmana.
