Patna: West Bengal Police Team on Thursday arrested a lawyer, Sameer Dubey, from Kishanganj on charges of cheating three Siliguri Entrepreneurs of Rs 91 Lakh by posing as a manifestator’s officer.
Acting on complaints that nested with the Bhakti Nagar police station in Siliguri on June 28 this year, the West Bengal police team was led by special branch officers, Vishujeet Ghosh, reached Kishanganj and looking for local police cooperation in arresting Dubey.
Kishanganj SP Kumar Ashish is a special team led by Sdpo (aware) Anwar Javed Ansari.
Furthermore, the Joint Team of the Bengal Police and Kishanganj dropped Dubey from outside the court.
Ansari said the lawyer was charged with extorting money from Mukesh Singhal, Bim Singhal and Agarwal Uttam with the pretext of helping them in auctioned luxury vehicles captured earlier by police and official ban on ban.
Dubey, according to the police complaint, has introduced itself as an officer of the formulations posted in Kishanganj.
“He was handed over to the police team who visited after completing the legal formality in Kishanganj,” Ansari said to this newspaper.
Dubey, however, pretends to be ignorant about complaints that submit it in West Bengal.
