Biharsharif: At least 10 people died allegedly after consuming false liquor in the Nalanda district on Saturday.
The eight of them belonged to Chhoti Pahari under the area of the Sohsarai police station while two were indigenous people in Prabhu Bigha Village under the Manpur police station in this district.
Liquor is prohibited from Bihar.
The deceased was identified as Munna Mistry (55), Bhago Mistry (55), Dharmendra Mahto aka Nageshwar (50), Kali Charan (52), Arjun Pandit (50), Sunil Tanti (242) and Ashok (42) and Ashok Sharma From Chhoti Pahadi and Ram Rak Chauhan (45) and Shivji Chauhan from Prabhu Bigha.
Gora Mahto, Dharmendra’s relatives, said the deceased had consumed state liquor on Friday.
He said Dharmendra complained of chest pain and anxiety at the end of Friday night and was taken to the private nurse house where the doctor said he was dead.
Baiju Paswan from Chhoti Pahadi said they had all consumed state liquor on Friday.
Most of the relatives of the deceased claim that fake liquor claims their lives.
They claim that state liquor is easily available in their territory.
Nalanda DM Shashank Shubhank confirmed five deaths, but said the reason would only be known after their postmortem report was received from the Biharsharif Hospital conscious.
