Patna: Bihar BJP MLA Rashmi Varma announced on Sunday his certainty of assembly quoted “personal reasons”, while the State President of the Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal party said he was upset with comments made by family members, reported Madan Kumar.
MLA for Narkatagi in the West Chamaran District wrote to speaker Assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha to accept his resignation.
The speaker said he had not received the letter.
Head of State BJP Jaiswal said MLA was upset with comments on family members “not related to politics”.
“I talked to him.
He was on his way to Patna to hand over his resignation to the speaker.
However, he then returned to Bettiah,” Jaiswal said.
Varma also reportedly accused the police who could be biased towards him.
He could not be contacted for comments.
