Patna: Two main alliance partners of NDA in Bihar – BJP and JD (U) – have “almost achieved a principled understanding” to share 24 empty seats from the legislative council based on Formula 50:50 with each party library 12 seats.
The two parties have done a 50:50 formula in 2020 assembly selections as well.
However, no from BJP or JD (U) has confirmed understanding, both parties have won the board election.
“The underlying principle in talks is that the sharing of a seat for the Board poll must also be carried out in the pattern of past elections.
Election to the Board seat is in the nature of general elections.
