Patna: At least 165 teachers and higher school and middle school employees are not in tasks during a surprise inspection conducted from August 9 to August 13 by officials of the State Education Department in all districts.
District Education Officers (Deo) and subordinates they found that the teachers absent on leave without previous information.
The secondary education directorate on Thursday ordered the salary reduction of this attendance teacher about the principle of ‘not paying without work’.
The department has clarified that leave without permission from the principal will be treated as an invalid absence.
Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said at the last review meeting with all district collectors and educational officials, including Deos and DPO, he asked them to make surprise visits to government schools.
Of the 38 districts, educational officials found the absent teacher in 18 districts.
In Rohas alone, 65 teachers were found absent.
